Guest Speaker: Expo Exhibitor Networking Lunch

I am grateful to Nic & Jane Gough of Dalton Spire, who promote and organise the East Yorkshire Business Expo, for choosing me from all of the speakers in the region to inspire the 100 businesses expected to exhibit at this year’s 10th Anniversary Expo! This lunch, held exactly one week before the EYBE, gives all of the exhibitors the chance to meet and network with each other.

The impression they make on visitors to their stand – for better or for worse – will long outlast their promotional giveaways. Spending on “freebies” whilst failing to invest in skills training for exhibition staff – from business owner to intern – is an oversight that can cost a business dearly.

I look forward to delivering a talk and interactive workshop that will focus on the art of connecting to avoid common pitfalls and break through any fear barriers. Principles put into practice will enhance their performance at the Expo and maximise the return on their marketing investment.

I’m also looking forward to slipping on some bowling shoes again! Inspired thinking on the part of Nic & Jane to choose Superbowl UK Hull as the venue and to use ten-pin bowling as a team-building ice-breaker!
