I have chosen to introduce you to John with this episode of A Minute with Maxwell, where he speaks on the subject of transformational leadership.
A Minute with Maxwell introduced me to John’s values and philosophy of leadership and personal development. Sometimes they aligned with my own and sometimes they challenged flaws in my character, forcing me to evaluate my behaviour and its impact on my life and the lives (and my relationship) with others.
I was seeking to invest my time and financial resources in a programme that would afford me the power to change leadership and management behaviour that creates dysfunctional (if not toxic) organisational cultures and working climates, and the negative impact these have on mental health, wellness and performance. Convinced that in John’s material I had found the key to begin effecting permanent, positive transformation, I successfully applied to join his team. My acceptance was based on what I had already done to grow myself, as transformational leadership starts with self-leadership – central to the company culture.
I am so grateful to John for his mentorship and untiring commitment – for building on that growth process and affording me his wisdom that I might change things for the better.
